Smith Island

With coconut palms swaying to the rhythm of the breeze, this man made tropical Island provides another unique location for your Fijian wedding. Looking out over the Marina and out to sea you'll be married at the very edge of the water with your own handmade Fijian Bridal Arch and up to 80 of your close friends and family. Smith Island is free of charge as a wedding venue when 75% of your guests stay at Musket Cove Island Resort.

Malolo Lailai Beach

The ultimate Fijian experience! Sand between your toes, a Fijian Bridal Arch decorated with fresh frangipanis and brilliant azure waters lapping the shore. The Malolo Lailai Beach provides a memorable location for your special day. Weddings can be scheduled to coincide with the tide and sunset for you and your close family friends. The Beach wedding location is free of charge when 75% of your guests stay at Musket Cove Island Resort.

The Pier

Available at high tide, the Pier provides a unique location for your Fijian wedding. With the crystal clear sea lapping at the timber pillars, the jetty becomes your own private aisle. You can take your vows under the open bure with up to 10 close family and friends sharing the moment. The Pier is free of charge when 75% of your guests stay at Musket Cove Island Resort.

Our Romantic Wedding Chapel

Seating up to 70 people, our quaint wedding chapel sits on top of the hill overlooking the Marina. With handmade solid timber pews and colourful stained glass depicting tropical Frangipanis, the Chapel is the ideal place for a traditional wedding ceremony. Bi-fold windows near the alter open to capture views of the Marina, ocean and beach providing a scenic back drop to your wedding day. A $700.00FJD charge applies for weddings in our non-denominational chapel.

Reception Venues

Ideal for an intimate romantic wedding or a tailored special event, our Events Team at Musket Cove Island Resort can easily ensure your function and stay is a memorable one. With 55 Bures offering all styles of accommodation and a variety of venues, Musket Cove Island Resort is ideal for small to medium weddings, incentives, teambuilding and small groups. The Venue: Cocktails or Pre dinner drinks

One of our most popular venues is the Ratu Nemani Island Bar. Enjoy drinks and nibbles surrounded by coconut palms with golden sand between your toes and another magic Fijian sunset as the backdrop. As an alternative, cocktails can be arranged on the beach at Dick's Bar & Bistro.

The Venue: The Main Event

Our variety of locations for wedding parties or dinner includes:

The Pier - available for parties of 2 to 6 Guests.

For an intimate party of up to 6 guests, the Pier is an ideal setting. Guests can enjoy A La Carte dining or a choice from the wedding banquet. The Pier is decorated (talk about how you can decorate it, line the pier with lanterns etc) making it a memorable location and an ideal spot to capture the Fijian sunset. Our attentive wait staff will be at your side throughout the night to cater to your needs.

The Beach Hut

Available for parties of 8-20 Guests, and the decked area at Dick's Bar and Bistro - available for up to 80 Guests Parties of this size are comfortable accommodated in our open Beach Bure.

Located on our main beach in front of the Restaurant, this open Fijian style Bure provides a private and intimate location for up to 20 Guests. An alternate private location for a party of this size is the decked area around the second smaller pool at Dick's Bar and Bistro. We can offer A La carte (4 choices) or banquet menu (2 choices) at either venue and you'll be provided with your own wait staff for the night to look after your every need.

The Beachfront

Available for between 21-40 Guests and 40-80 Guests.

Imagine dining underneath the stars with the waves lapping the shore and up to 40 of your close friends and family celebrating your special day. Our Team set up a long table in your honor along the beach where you can dine either from the banquet menu or buffet style. For groups of 40-80 Guest's similar table arrangements are available on the beach with a buffet option only.

The Ratu Nemani Island Bar

Available for 20-80 Guests for a BBQ or 20-100 Guests for cocktail function.

For a relaxed, casual event the Island Bar is an ideal location. With its sandy beach style floor and yachting memorabilia hanging from the ceiling of the central bar, 'The Island Bar' as its affectionately known boasts a number of BBQs ideal for a Teambuilding dinner. BBQ packs are conveniently arranged by The Trader or we can also provide catering for your event. Picnic tables are in abundance with plenty of seating for up to 80 people. For Cocktail functions the Bar is ideal with its location at the end of our Marina providing a unique beachside venue that will guarantee a memorable night.

Additional set up fees apply for private dinners at alternative venues.

Weather: Alternative Arrangements

As we do live in the tropics, we do experience changes in the weather which are beyond our control. Our Sales and Events Coordinator will always confirm a wet weather alternative.

Hens & Bucks

The Resort has a variety of Activities available for groups wishing to enjoy a Hen's and Buck's event.

Our popular 'Race around Malolo' Treasure Hunt can easily create an exciting way for the group to enjoy a fun activity unique to your wedding event. We tailor make each hunt and can easily involve you in the planning if there are any particular theme's you would like to include to coincide with your wedding day.

Various other activities include 'Fijian' style golf, Volley Ball, a variety of non-motorised water sports and competitions can be arranged for each of these activities.

The Marina provides the perfect opportunity to take part in fishing charters, dolphin and snorkeling safaris, sunset cruises or you can even learn to sail as a group.

Of course for the ultimate indulgence. there's always Mandara Spa where we can provide a full day's programme of blissful treatments or perhaps spend a Hen's day under the Beach Bure with your group enjoying manicures, pedicures and champagne.
